Our Facilities
Tel: 0800 542 9764Many of our competitors claim they own their facility when in fact they are merely renting servers from a chain of providers. Why hide the truth?
Our policy is not to lie. We are more than happy to divulge exactly where our equipment is hosted - for six trouble-free years our customers have benefited from the exceptional services of INTERXION, using their UK facility located in central London. We don't need to reinvent the wheel!
Why Interxion are our first choice:
Interxion is responsible for the physical security of the building:
- manned 24/7
- protected by VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) for the detection of fires
- INERGEN gas fire suppression systems
- all aspects of the building are monitored 24/7, including Chillers, CRAC units, fire panels, generators and UPS systems.
Interxion's Multi-layered Security
- The building is monitored 24x7 by CCTV.
- There is a single entry point to the data centre; access is only granted by a member of the security staff. Once inside the reception area, access cards are checked and activated if the person is allowed in the facility, only then can anyone gain access to the data centre. Once inside the first set of doors (which grants access to lifts and stairs only) a further two doors have to be passed through to gain access to any of our equipment - in our own locked equipment racks (owned by us, not rented). Access cards only allow the opening of doors that lead to a customer's own equipment - all other equipment areas are off limits to any customer.
- Interxion UK operate ISO 27001 accredited information security management systems.
Interxion is also responsible for the cooling of the building, and the power, which is provided by a 13MVA redundant grid supply, backed up with N+1* generators (on warm standby) with 2N** UPS redundancy. The generators have 24 hours of fuel on site with a six hour SLA on refuelling should it be needed.
Interxion provide us with an excellant service and secure, reliable space for our equipment and your websites - you're in very safe hands!
N+1: if a room needs two CRAC units to keep it cool then three are provided.
**2N: if the building requires two UPS to operate should the mains power fail then four are provided.
